Professor Patsy Yates

Patsy is jointly appointed as Professor of Nursing at Queensland University of Technology, and Director for Queensland Health’s Centre for Palliative Care Research and Education, a statewide service that was established to enhance palliative care services in Queensland through education and research. As Director for the Centre, Patsy leads a range of programs focused on developing workforce capacity in palliative care, researching priority issues in palliative care, and strengthening the nexus between research, policy and practice.

National PCC4U project coordinator

Alison Farrington

Alison has a Bachelor of Education and Diploma of Assessment and Training. Alison is a registered nurse who has worked in health professional training and workforce development for the last ten years. Alison is currently completing a Master of Professional Education and Training at Deakin University.

National PCC4U clinical educator

Christine Howard

For over 15 years Christine has been working with undergraduate nursing students in both theory and clinical units in a variety of roles including Unit Coordinator, Lecturer, Tutor and Clinical Facilitator. Christine is passionate about student engagement and was awarded a Vice Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in 2010 for her ongoing role in teaching and learning. Christine has a nursing background in Midwifery, Operating Theatres and Women’s Health.
